Dr. A. Nick Shamie serves as chief of orthopaedic spine surgery at the UCLA Spine Center and professor of orthopaedic surgery and spine surgery at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He also serves as vice chair of International Affairs at UCLA Health. He is an expert reviewer for the Medical Board of California and is a member and former president of the American College of Spine Surgery. Dr. Shamie is actively involved in medical education of fellows, medical students and residents at UCLA and has traveled internationally (including China and the UAE) to teach spine procedures.
