Growing up on a farm in Kansas, Dr. Jennifer Raymond learned how to work hard and care for her entire community. These early lessons solidified her desire for a life of service. Based on her experiences and education, the choice to enter pediatrics was clear, and she further focused this interest on diabetes. Choosing diabetes allowed her to combine her interests in behavioral health, advocacy, working as a team, and long-standing relationships with patients and families. When the opportunity to join Children’s Hospital Los Angeles arose four years ago, Dr. Raymond reflected on her goals and concluded CHLA provided the perfect opportunity to combine her goals.
