Brian R. Michael, a former federal prosecutor and senior in-house counsel in Los Angeles, represents entities and individuals in high-stakes white-collar criminal cases, securities and regulatory enforcement matters, internal investigations, crisis management, and complex litigation, as well as to advise on a wide array of compliance subjects, including FCPA and anti-corruption, cybersecurity and data privacy, FinTech, blockchain technology and digital currency, trade sanctions, and #MeToo/workplace conduct.
As a partner who a few years ago launched King & Spalding’s Special Matters and Government Investigations practice in Los Angeles, Michael draws upon more than two decades of public service as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Central District of California and the Southern District of New York, providing in-house counsel as Deputy General Counsel and Group Chief Compliance Officer at 21st Century Fox, and in private practice.
