Milt & Edie’s is more than just a drycleaners and tailoring center. Opened in 1988 by Milt and Edythe Chortkoff, along with their daughter and son-in-law, Beth and Michael Shader, the business was originally named Milt & Michael’s and then renamed Milt & Edie’s in 2004. The building became a landmark in the heart of Burbank’s Media District thanks to vibrant pink awnings and a towering monument sign featuring inspirational messages.
Milt, who began his cleaning career delivering laundry for his father in 1946 and who passed away in 2017, always treated customers as guests. Milt & Edie’s continues to offer the ultimate in customer service: all services are available 24/7/365, including the tailoring center.
