THE LATEST: Wasserman heads LA 2028, the organizing committee that secured the 2028 Summer Olympics for Los Angeles. In April, he brokered a first-of-its-kind deal to allow brands and NBCUniversal, which will broadcast the games, to partner on media and sponsorship opportunities. On a personal front, Wasserman recently put his Beverly Hills home on the market for $125 million.
BACKGROUND: Wasserman, the grandson of Hollywood mogul and silver screen star maker Lew Wasserman, heads Wasserman Media Group — a sports, entertainment and lifestyle marketing and management agency representing brands, properties and talent. He also serves as president and chief executive of the Wasserman Foundation.
WORTH NOTING: Wasserman serves on the boards of trustees of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and UCLA Stein Eye Institute as well as the board of Activision Blizzard Inc.
