MBA Guide: Biola University’s Crowell School of Business

Biola University’s Crowell School of Business equips and empowers women and men in business to lead influentially in the business realm. Crowell offers a one-of-a-kind MBA program for Christian business professionals to bring creative ingenuity, professional prowess and biblical integrity to the modern marketplace.

Now in its 25th year, Crowell is known as one of the nation’s leading Christian business schools, with a distinct approach to business education as a means to impact the culture for good — through business excellence, ethics and service to others. Crowell’s accomplished and compassionate faculty not only equip students with the knowledge and skills they need, but are eager to mentor and coach students for real-world business environments.

One of Crowell’s most impactful programs is the MBA Mentor Program, in which every student is personally matched with a successful Christian executive who offers executive coaching and wisdom for life.

Crowell also places a high value on a spirit of entrepreneurship. One way students can make the leap from dreamer to entrepreneur is by participating in the annual Biola Startup Competition, an initiative for graduate students, along with undergraduates and recent alumni, to collaborate on teams and turn a promising idea into a startup company. Teams pitch a concept, develop a business plan and compete for a cash prize while gaining valuable real-world insights and mentorship from industry leaders.

The Crowell MBA is ideal for professionals who want to advance their career while continuing to work: The program functions on a trimester system (fall, spring and summer) and is flexible for working professionals who want to pursue their degree part time or full-time. With a flexible program format, students can come to campus, located on the border between Los Angeles and Orange counties, no more than one to two times a week.

Crowell also offers other graduate-level programs, including a Master of Professional Accountancy (MPAcc) and a Master of Management in Nonprofit Organizations (MM).
