SpaceX Pod Reaches 220 Miles Per Hour in Hyperloop
SpaceX ran its pusher car on its Hyperloop track at 220 miles per hour, faster than the previous 201 mile per record set by a German student team, reports TechCrunch. The pusher car is used to push student pods that don’t have their own built-in motor for acceleration, is powered by electric motors from Tesla, and Musk believes it can get to 310 miles per hour in next month with a few tweaks or small additions.
Sims Pioneer Rod Humble Takes Over Jam City’s TinyCo Studio
Mobile game publisher Jam City announced on Thursday that it appointed Rod Humble, a former Electronic Arts executive, to run its TinyCo Studio in San Francisco, reports Venture Beat. Humble previously served as an executive at EA in charge of hits such as The Sims 2 and The Sims 3.
Faraday Future’s Name Removed from Formula E Team
Faraday Future’s name was removed from Dragon Racing’s Formula E racecar branding, reports The Verge. Faraday Future will continue to provide technical support through engineers embedded in the race team.
