Event and branding company Simply Inc. has been acquired by Nylon Media Inc. for an undisclosed amount.

West Hollywood-based Simply company operates Simply Stylist, a fashion and beauty conferences planner. Founder Sarah Boyd’s background in fashion public relations led her to launch the company in 2012.

“I started Simply Stylist to help connect people in the field by throwing events,” said Boyd, 34, last week.

The firm connects stylists, bloggers, editors, and social media influencers with potential employers, companies, and brands.

Boyd wouldn’t discuss details of the sale nor provide revenue numbers for Simply Inc. Four employees who work there are expected to continue their employment under Nylon, she said. The company will operate as Simply.

The company puts on three to four conferences a year, with attendance running $250 to $500 a person. It also partners with shopping malls, including the Grove in the Fairfax District, to provide monthly workshops.

Simply launched Simply Digital Network in 2014 to provide talent management for celebrity bloggers and digital influencer campaigns for brands.

Jamie Elden, president of New York-based Nylon, a multimedia company in the fashion, beauty, music, and pop culture space, said the acquisition will help build and extend its talent roster as well as its conference and video content.
