National accounting providers CBIZ and Mayer Hoffman McCann today announced the realignment of their seven Southern California offices, consolidating leadership and creating the companies’ largest single business unit after operating as separate entities for a decade. CBIZ and MHM together are the 9th largest accounting provider in the United States.
The firms’ San Diego, Los Angeles, Irvine, Bakersfield, Oxnard, Temecula and Encino offices have been combined to create a single business unit. Paul Nation, previous head of the San Diego and Irvine offices, will assume responsibility for these offices and its 221 employees from their current leader, Mark Luttrell. According to Nation, Luttrell was interested in returning to client service.
Nation projected the Los Angeles, Bakersfield and Oxnard offices would bring a mix of real estate, litigation, manufacturing, agriculture and oil and gas practices to the San Diego and Irvine offices’ rapidly expanding technology and life sciences and not-for-profit practices.
