Challenges for ‘The Hateful Eight’

The Weinstein Co.’s “The Hateful Eight,” directed by Quentin Tarantino, had a strong Christmas weekend opening despite some problems with the unusual 70 mm projection format, Variety reports. Around 19 percent of moviegoers mentioned issues at their theaters, according to a Twitter poll. However, Weinstein asserts problems occurred at less than 1 percent of the showings.
