EHarmony: Online dating service eHarmony of Westwood has launched a site for Spanish speaking singles. The site will service Spanish speakers in the United States and will eventually expand to Latin American countries.
Google Express: Delivery service Google Express is expanding into Southern California. The service will deliver products within a day from stores such as Costco, Target and Kohl’s and will cost $95 a year, $10 a month or $4.99 for an individual delivery.
Flipagram: Picture and video sharing social media app Flipagram of Century City has added One Direction’s latest single “Perfect.” Users of Flipagram can use the song as background music for the picture and video montages they share on the app.
Bezalel: Wireless charging company Bezalel Corp. of Playa Vista launched a Kickstarter funding campaign. The company was launched out of USC Viterbi’s Startup Garage and has built a universal near-field wireless charger for cellphones.
Honor: Senior homecare provider website Honor of San Francisco has launched in Los Angeles. The company vets, manages and lists independent homecare providers for senior citizens.
Ring: Santa Monica’s Ring, a company that manufactures a doorbell with a video camera linked to an app, has signed a deal with Wisconsin’s American Family Insurance. The insurance company’s customers can get a $30 discount on their doorbell, which retails for $199. If a home burglary occurs, Ring will also cover customers’ insurance deductible.
