New York’s Toy Industry Association announced today that Walt Disney Co. Chief Executive Robert Iger will be inducted into its Toy Industry Hall of Fame.
Iger was chosen due to the worldwide impact Disney has had on children as well as his role in guiding the company’s acquisitions of content creators Pixar, Marvel, and Lucasfilm.
“Mr. Iger has done an impressive job of building on Disney’s rich history and growing their storytelling portfolio, creating new experiences and unforgettable memories for generations of kids to come,” Toy Industry Association Chief Executive Steve Pasierb said in a statement.
Iger will be officially inducted during a ceremony scheduled to take place during the North American International Toy Fair in New York in February.
