Agencies Say They Failed To Protect Water

The state agencies in charge of protecting California’s water from the oil industry’s pollution failed at their jobs, a state official has testified to lawmakers, the Los Angeles Times reports. Officials from the Water Resources Control Board and other agencies say they will overhaul the way they regulate the disposal of waste water from oil fields.
