Prescription Drug Spending Up

The amount of money consumers spent on prescription drugs rose more than 12 percent nationwide last year, thanks in part to new Hepatitis C treatments and higher costs for cancer and diabetes medicine, the Wall Street Journal reports. It marked the biggest annual increase in more than a decade, officials say.
