Porterville-based Finance and Thrift Company has agreed to purchase Pan American Bank, California’s oldest Latino bank, in an all-stock deal, the Los Angeles Times reports. Finance and Thrift Company will take Pan American’s name and move its headquarters to East Los Angeles. Regulatory approval of the purchase is expected in the coming months.
