Profits Drop for L.A. Oxy Unit

California Resources Corp., the Los Angeles oil producer that is set to be spun off from Occidental Petroleum Corp. next month, reported a drop in net income during the third quarter due to rising production costs and drooping oil prices, the Business Journal reports.
