WESTSIDE

CENTURY CITY

Public Offering: Cinedigm Corp., a Century City film and TV distributor, has closed an underwritten public offering of about 11.7 million shares of Class A common stock. Cinedigm plans to use $29.7 million in proceeds for general corporate purposes.

SANTA MONICA

Media Acquisition: Impact Future Media, a Santa Monica entertainment company, has been acquired by Malwin Ventures Inc., a Las Vegas entertainment content developer and distributor. Impact Future will remain in Santa Monica and operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Malwin, retaining its name and continuing to focus on film and TV. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

BEVERLY HILLS

Bulk Buy: Levine Leichtman Capital Partners, a Beverly Hills investment firm, has signed an agreement to acquire the material-handling products business of Houston’s FMC Technologies Inc. The business, which will be named Syntron Material Handling and headquartered in Tupelo, Miss., makes equipment used to load and transport bulk materials. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

MALIBU

Mixed-Use Building: Korant in Malibu has sold a Malibu retail building for $5.75 million to Miracle Mile’s Trion Properties. The three-story, 16,711-square-foot property, at 28955 Pacific Coast Highway, was built in 1987.

SOUTH BAY

CARSON

Taking Off: Ducommun Inc., a Carson aerospace and defense manufacturing business, has received contracts valued at $5.6 million from Bell Helicopter, a subsidiary of Providence, R.I., conglomerate Textron Inc. Ducommun will provide electronic assemblies and wiring harnesses for the V-22 Osprey tilt-rotor military aircraft through January 2015. The company has worked on the V-22 program since 2005.

El Segundo

Taking Tests: Wyle, an El Segundo aerospace and defense contractor, has sold its testing business to National Technical Systems Inc., a Calabasas engineering and testing company. With the deal, National Technical adds testing labs in El Segundo; San Bernardino; and Huntsville, Ala. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

SAN FERNANDO VALLEY

Woodland HILLS

Overseas Expansion: ReachLocal Inc., a Woodland Hills online marketing services company for small businesses, has acquired the small-business division of SureFire Search, the exclusive distributor of ReachLocal products in New Zealand. ReachLocal started working with Auckland’s SureFire in 2011. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

WESTLAKE VILLAGE

Office Property: Chippewa Enterprises Inc. of Riverside has purchased a Westlake Village office building for $7.7 million from Toth Properties of Westlake Village. The 45,000-square-foot North Ranch Office Building, at 31225 La Baya Drive, was about 48 percent leased at time of sale.
