A closet full of disco fashions from the 1970s; a “press for champagne” button from the 1940s; a Marilyn Monroe motif from the 1950s.

These are among the features that will greet guests of five high-end Beverly Hills hotels this year, part of a celebration of the tony city’s centennial. Starting on Jan. 28 – the 100th anniversary of Beverly Hills’ incorporation – the hotels will begin taking reservations for special suites with décor and amenities from decades past.

A suite at the Beverly Hills Hotel, for instance, will feature classic 1950s décor, artifacts from Monroe’s estate and a room service menu offering some of the actress’s favorites. Suites at the Montage, Beverly Hilton, L’Ermitage and Peninsula hotels will feature references to the ’40s, ’60s, ’70s and ’90s, respectively.

It’s all part of promotion Suite 100, organized by the Beverly Hills Convention and Visitors’ Bureau. Julie Wagner, the bureau’s executive director, said the idea is to draw visitors from around the world into the celebration.

“You can go anywhere in the world to celebrate and experience luxury services,” she said. “But only in Beverly Hills in 2014 can you time travel and see how these luxury services have evolved over time.”

Of course, time travel doesn’t come cheap. Rates start at $1,914 – as in 1914, the year Beverly Hills was incorporated – and climb to $7,000 a night.

The hotels will begin accepting reservations Jan. 28 for stays between March 7 and Dec. 31.
