Los Angeles-based clothing retailer Guess? Inc. said that same-store sales for the month of June grew 11.7 percent.
According to the company, total sales grew nearly 17 percent to $62.9 million, up from $53.8 million during June of last year. For the second quarter ending July 1, total retail sales have increased from $132.9 million to $163.9 million, a 23 percent jump when compared to last year, the company said.
Analysts, on average, predicted an increase of 8.8 percent, according to a Thomson Financial poll. Guess? owns and operates 320 retail stores in the United States and Canada and has more than 3,000 employees.
