SAN FERNANDO VALLEY

NORTH HOLLYWOOD

More Visits: IPC the Hospitalist Co. Inc., a North Hollywood manager of hospital practices, has acquired select assets of Cape Coral Hospitalists Inc. in Fort Myers, Fla. The acquisition will add about 13,000 visits to IPC’s annual total of nearly 5 million. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

SYLMAR

Train Tunnel: Tutor Perini Corp., a Sylmar-based construction firm, has been awarded a $133 million contract from Amtrak to build a tunnel at the Hudson Yards project in New York. Tutor Perini will begin construction next month of the 800-foot-long tunnel underneath Hudson Yards, a city development slated for 6 million square feet of commercial space, 5,000 residences, a public school and luxury hotel.

SAN FERNANDO

Sale and Lease-Back: J&M Products Inc., a supplier of products to the trucking industry, has sold its San Fernando headquarters industrial building for $4.1 million in a sale-and-lease-back deal with Sylmar’s JZK Truman LLC. The 41,365-square-foot building, at 1647 Truman St., was built in 1970. JZK Truman plans to develop additional land on the property.

WESTSIDE

BEVERLY HILLS

Hotel Honor: Peninsula Beverly Hills has been voted the top large-city hotel in the continental United States in Travel + Leisure magazine’s World’s Best Awards reader survey. The rankings were based on readers’ votes in categories including rooms, location, service, food and value.

WESTWOOD

Plugged In: Source Financial Inc., a Westwood operator of online financial services platforms, has completed its acquisition of Moneytech Ltd., a Sydney financial services company. The deal will open the U.S. market to Moneytech’s services. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

West los angeles

Multifamily Pickup: Stone Revocable Family Trust has purchased a three-story West L.A. multifamily property for $5.5 million from Zaki Family Partnership LP. The building, at 1457 Armacost Ave., was built in 1988 and was 93 percent occupied at the time of sale.

CENTRAL AREA

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES

Revolving Credit: American Apparel Inc., a downtown L.A. clothing maker, has announced a $15 million increase in its revolving credit facility with Capital One Leverage Finance Corp. As a part of this transaction, Bank of Montreal was added as a loan participant and the total commitment under the facility was raised to $50 million from $35 million.

LAKEWOOD

Retail Property: Private investor Qing Kai Investment LLC has acquired a Lakewood retail building for $3.28 million from Lakewood South Investors LP. The 5,691-square-foot retail property, at 5809 Lakewood Blvd., was built on nine-tenths of an acre in 1962.
