In Tuesday trading, the Dow Jones industrial average rose 76 points, or one-half of a percent, to 15,300.
The Nasdaq was up 19 points, or six-tenths of a percent, to 3,504.
The S&P 500 ticked up 12 points, or seven-tenths of a percent, to 1,652.
The LABJ Stock Index gained 1 point to 164.
