Jewelry retailer Robbins Bros. announced Wednesday that it has purchased E.E. Robbins, Washington jewelry stores with a family tie.
The Azusa jewelry chain, which specializes in engagement rings, gained two stores in the acquisition – one in the Seattle neighborhood of Belltown and another in Bellevue, Wash. – to bring its total stores to 14.
Emerson Robbins, who co-founded Robbins Bros. in Southern California with his brother in the mid ’90s, opened the two E.E. Robbins stores a few years later on his own. He said he was happy to finally bring the Seattle-area stores into the family fold.
“This is outstanding news for Seattle and geographically completes the circle of our family’s journey in the business,” he said in a statement.
Robbins Bros. plans to broaden the selection at the two Seattle-area stores, bringing in expanded private label and designer engagement ring selections.
