Since being named co-chief executive of Westfield Group with brother Steven in 2011, has been busy refocusing company, investing in higher-end malls and selling off lower-performing ones. Company announced that it was moving U.S. headquarters to Century City from Brentwood last year, closer to flagship Century City mall, which is getting $500 million makeover. Family shifting wealth to private holdings, selling off stake in Westfield’s retail trust spin-off for nearly $700 million in February. Father and co-founder, Frank, continues in a nonexecutive chairman role, while oldest brother, David, manages family’s private holdings. Long been involved in local Jewish causes, including American Jewish University. Donated about $200,000 to national Democratic candidates since last year, including $100,000 to a Super PAC supporting failed re-election bid of San Fernando Valley Congressman Howard Berman.
