Aerospace parts supplier Wesco Aircraft Holdings Inc. Thursday said that it received a contract to supply European aircraft manufacturer Airbus SAS.
The Valencia distributor, which has offices in 12 countries, will provide aerospace fasteners and hardware components to numerous facilities operated by Airbus, based in Toulouse, France.
Hal Weinstein, executive vice president of sales and marketing, said the contract solidifies Wesco’s place as a strategic distributor to Airbus.
“The award of this contract demonstrates the strong relationship between Wesco Aircraft and Airbus – a relationship built over the past decade on excellent service and consistently strong performance,” he said, in a prepared statement.
Shares of Wesco closed down $1.26 or 1.6 percent at $75.80 in trading on the New York Stock Exchange.
