VALENCIA

Plugged In: Stellar Microelectronics, a Valencia maker of electronics for the aerospace, defense and medical industries, has been acquired by Flextronics International Ltd., a Singapore-based electronics company. Stellar employs about 250 and has annual revenue of almost $100 million. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

SAN GABRIEL VALLEY

POMONA

Office Center: The city of Pomona has sold a four-building, 114,000-square-foot Pomona office property to Jellick-Rowland LLC. The transaction is valued at $6.87 million. The property, at 2322-2370 S. Garey Ave. and known as Garey Village Office Campus, will be converted by the new owner for use as a charter school with emphasis on the medical field.

WESTSIDE

CENTURY CITY

Manufacturing Deal: Hancock Park Associates, a Century City private-equity firm, has sold Drilltec, a Houston-based maker of products to protect drill pipe, tubing and casing for oil businesses. Drilltec was acquired by Milwaukee private-equity firm Lubar & Co. and Pouschine Cook Capital Management LLC, a New York private-equity firm. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

WEST LOS ANGELES

Personal Pickup: People finder MyLife, based in West Los Angeles, has purchased the technology of San Francisco’s Threadsy. The technology helps users manage their e-mail and social network accounts. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

SAN FERNANDO VALLEY

CHATSWORTH

New Headquarters: Cal Net Technology Group, an IT consultancy and computer services company, has moved its headquarters from Northridge to Chatsworth. Cal Net moved to a larger office, at 9420 Topanga Canyon Blvd., to accommodate growth in staff. The company also has an office in Anaheim.

VAN NUYS

Foreign Expansion: Cherokee Inc., a Van Nuys-based fashion brand manager and marketer, has formed a partnership with giant Russian retailer Magnit. Krasnodar-based Magnit operates more than 5,000 convenience and 240 cosmetics stores throughout the country. The partnership includes the sale of Cherokee-branded products, including apparel for men, women and children, in Magnit stores.

NORTH HOLLYWOOD

Lone Star Growth: IPC the Hospitalist Co. Inc., a North Hollywood provider of hospitalist services, has reached an agreement with four Methodist Healthcare System hospitals in San Antonio. Methodist Healthcare System is jointly owned and operated by Methodist Healthcare Ministries of San Antonio and HCA Corp. of Nashville, Tenn. The agreements, which formalize the practices IPC already had in place, are with the Methodist Stone Oak, Methodist Specialty and Transplant, Northeast Methodist and Metropolitan Methodist hospitals.

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES

Kicking In: Herbalife Ltd., a downtown L.A.-based maker of nutritional supplements, has extended its role as presenting sponsor of Major League Soccer’s L.A. Galaxy, which is owned by downtown L.A.-based Anschutz Entertainment Group. The deal, which will extend the sponsorship through the 2022 MLS season, is valued at more than $44 million.
