Wound Center: Antelope Valley Hospital has opened a 3,600-square-foot Comprehensive Wound Healing Center on its hospital campus in Lancaster. The new facility will provide physicians with the latest medical equipment and advanced treatment methods to care for complex nonhealing wounds such as those that can come from diabetes.

BEVERLY HILLS
Doctor Is In: Cosmetic surgeon Dr. Aaron Rollins has opened a solo practice, Elite Body Sculpting, in Beverly Hills. Rollins will be offering a new less-invasive liposuction procedure at his new office, at 436 N. Bedford Drive.

WEST LOS ANGELES
Plugged In: NantWorks LLC, a West L.A. firm focused on technology to improve scientific research and the health care industry, has acquired Boston Life Labs, a Phoenix company specializing in the remote monitoring of patient biometric data. BLL, renamed NantCare LLC, will provide hardware and software products for telemonitoring patients through use of wireless devices that measure key health indicators such as blood pressure.

MISSION HILLS
Building Sale: Carmel Partners has sold a Mission Hills office building for $5.65 million to Realty Center Management Inc. The 36,000-square-foot Blackhawk Office Building, at 15545 Devonshire St., was 97 percent occupied at the time of sale.

ENCINO
New Brokerage: New Standard Equities, a full-service real estate company, has opened its first corporate headquarters, located on Ventura Boulevard in Encino. Founder-Chief Executive Edward Ring said the company, founded in 2010, bounced between his Encino home and a small office in Brentwood before it opened at 16255 Ventura in January. Ring previously served as chief operating officer at Beverly Hills real estate firm Kennedy Wilson.

STUDIO CITY
Around the Bend: Anthony and Rebecca Benenati, co-owners of City Yoga in West Hollywood, are opening a location this month in Studio City at 12265 Ventura Blvd.

PASADENA
Ad Pickup: OpenX Technologies Inc., a Pasadena digital ad technology company, has acquired LiftDNA Inc., a King of Prussia, Pa., online advertising technology company. OpenX had already been using LiftDNA’s technology. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

SAN GABRIEL VALLEY
MONROVIA
New Vision: Los Feliz’s Children’s Hospital Los Angeles has opened a shop for children’s eyewear in Monrovia. Children’s Optical, at 509 S. Myrtle Ave. and near the hospital’s Arcadia outpatient center, will specialize in eyewear for youngest patients to teens.

CORRECTION

The story “Taking Exercise for a Ride” in the Feb. 20 issue should have stated that TVA Media Group is paying for two-thirds of all of StreetStrider’s infomercial campaign costs, not just the production costs, in return for two-thirds of profits from sales.
