Prominent Long Beach Developers Killed in Plane Crash

Three prominent South Bay business leaders, a business associate and their pilot were killed March 16 and another person seriously injured when their Salt Lake City-bound twin-engine plane crashed along a runway at Long Beach Airport and burst into flames.

The victims were Long Beach real estate broker and cycling activist Mark Llewllyn Bixby; Long Beach real estate investor Thomas Fay Dean, his Manhattan Beach business partner Jeffrey Albert Berger, Bruce Michael Krall of Ladera Ranch, and pilot Kenneth Earl Cruz of Culver City. A sixth passenger, Long Beach real estate executive Mike Jensen, was hospitalized in critical condition.

The group reportedly was going on a skiing trip.
