Joining the Fleet: Coda Automotive, a Santa Monica-based maker of all-electric sedans, has reached a deal with Hertz Corp., a Park Ridge, N.J.-based auto rental giant. Hertz will add Coda sedans to certain Southern California rental locations as part of the Hertz Global EV program.

Golden Refocus: Renaissance BioEnergy Inc., a Century City-based renewable energy company, has acquired a 25 percent undivided interest in 22 mining claims in the Oatman Gold Project in Mohave County Ariz. The transaction amount was not disclosed. Renaissance has also announced that it will change its name to ASPA Gold Corp.

Trading Names: Bravada International Ltd., an L.A. sportswear-focused apparel maker headquartered on Robertson Boulevard, has changed its Pink Sheets stock ticker symbol. The symbol has been changed from MFLI to BRAV.

Mexican Deal: Cherokee Inc., a Van Nuys-based apparel licensing company, has signed an agreement for its Sideout brand with Mexican retail company Tiendas Soriana S.A. de C.V. The multiyear agreement covers a wide range of categories, including men’s, women’s and children’s clothing, footwear and accessories.

Big Picture: DTS Inc., a Calabasas audio technology company, has signed a deal with China’s top five TV manufacturers allowing DTS technology to be used in high-definition models by Skyworth, Hisense, Haier, Konka and TCL.
