Interlink Electronics Inc. on Tuesday said that John R. Schneider had been named president and chief operating officer. He will join the company on Monday.

The Camarillo maker of touch sensors and other computer mouse-like components said Schneider has more than 17 years of executive management experience in the technology industry. He most recently was chief executive of General Dynamics’ Itronix subsidiary in Sunrise, Fla., and earlier served as vice president and general manager at Intermec Technologies in Everett, Wash.

“John joining our team is another step towards Interlink building a leading technology company with a commitment to excellence and sustainable profitability,” Chief Executive Steven N. Bronson said in a statement.
