Interlink Electronics Inc. on Monday said that Steven N. Bronson, a veteran Wall Street investor, had been named its chief executive and chairman.

The Camarillo company, which develops intuitive interface and sensing technology used in handheld MP3 players, tablet PCs, and belt-worn mouse button cursor controllers, said Bronson was appointed by the board following the company’s annual meeting on July 13. He replaces Kevin Wiley, who had CEO since 2008.

Bronson, 44, president and founder of a Boca Raton, Fla. investment banking firm, Catalyst Financial LLC. He also is president and chairman of BKF Capital Group, Inc. and chairman, president and majority shareholder of two public companies, Ridgefield Acquisition Corp. and 4net Software Inc.

“Interlink has been on the forefront of sensor technology since 1985 and I’m looking forward to working with the dedicated employees at Interlink,” Bronson said in a statement. “I’m committed to taking the necessary steps to building long-term growth and profitability with the company.”

Interlink did not say whether Bronson would be based in Camarillo, or if any of his investment companies had taken a stake in the company.

Also elected to Interlink board at the annual meeting were Edward J. Fred and Lorin E. Krueger, who replace George Gu and Lawrence Barker.

Shares were unchanged at 25 cents Monday on the Pink Sheets.
