Computer Sciences Corp. said Monday that it has signed an information technology outsourcing contract worth about $48 million with Whitbread Group Plc, the United Kingdom’s largest hospitality company.
Computer Sciences already has an IT contract with the hotel company and with this addition the total contract value of CSC’s agreement with Whibread is valued at more than $222 million, the El Segundo-based company said.
Under the new five-year agreement, which supersedes the current contract signed two years ago, CSC will provide India-based applications support and will continue to provide desktop support for all of Whitbread’s central information systems and technology, including data center services, e-mail, Internet and intranet. The new contract extends all services through March 2012.
Shares in CSC were up $1.34 a share to $50.67 in early trading on Monday.
