Christian Audigier, the Culver City-based fashion designer, is trying to sell his company, according to Women’s Wear Daily.

Audigier, whose company encompasses 10 brands including the tattoo-print Ed Hardy line, is in talks with more than 15 parties, including private equity firms and California apparel manufacturers. The company also has 92 licensees.

He is seeking $700 million, but he told Women’s Wear Daily that he would also consider selling the brands separately.

Audigier also owns 23 of his retail stores, with 42 run by franchisees. He has also signed leases for 12 new stores to open next year and expects his company to more than double in wholesale sales to $300 million this year.
