Northrop Grumman Corp. said that one of its subsidiaries was awarded a U.S. Army contract worth $23.6 million.
The subsidiary, Apopka, Fla.-based Litton Systems Inc., received the contract, which is for development of transmitters for the Army Aviation and Missile Command. The work is expected to be completed by November 2009, the Los Angeles-based defense contractor said.
Shares in Northrop were down 28 cents to $66.11 in trading Wednesday.
