Honda designers wanted a vibrant, bustling backdrop for their new studio, which they found in Old Pasadena, the Pasadena Star-News reports.
Honda R & D; Americas Inc. celebrated the opening of its 5,700-square-foot Advanced Design Studio at 45 N. Raymond Ave. Tuesday.
Having activity outside prevents designers from becoming stagnant, said Dave Marek, chief auto designer for Honda R & D; Americas. Stepping outside every day and meeting someone new provides motivation and instantaneous feedback, he said.
