Mega Brands Inc. said Friday that it has partnered with Walt Disney Co. to make a line of Disney-branded arts and crafts products featuring Disney Princess, Pirates of the Caribbean, Hannah Montana and Little Einsteins.

The Montreal-based toy maker said the products will begin shipping to retailers in North America in early 2007 and to international markets, which include Europe, Scandinavia and the Middle East, by April 2007.

The Disney art sets will include products that allow children to paint customized picture frames, make their own pirate boots and pirate clothing, make 3D paintings and custom temporary tattoos and will teach them latch hook knitting techniques.

Shares in Burbank-based Disney were down 27 cents to $34.45 early Friday.
