THQ Inc. is developing three new video game titles to be released in the fall based on the popular Bratz doll franchise.

The dolls, created by Van Nuys-based MGA Entertainment, will be featured in a new set of video games made by the Agoura Hills game developer, marking the second time the two Southern California companies have teamed up.

THQ has developed video games to coincide with direct-to-DVD movies about the toys over the past two years. Bratz is the most popular video game among girls, according to THQ.

THQ is currently developing a “Bratz: The Movie” video game to coincide with the release of a live-action film called “Bratz,” set to be released at the end of the summer. The games will be available on the PlayStation 2 console as well as Nintendo’s Game Boy Advance and the brand new Wii system.

Shares in THQ were up 24 cents to $33.36 in afternoon trading Monday on the Nasdaq.
