Wall Street reacted favorably as Guess? Inc. recorded double-digit increases in same-store and overall sales in September.
The Los Angeles-based clothing retailer said same-store sales rose 11 percent over last September, driven by the sale of full-priced items. Overall sales totaled $67 million, behind an increase of 16 percent from the same period a year ago.
Shares of Guess were up $3.24 to $53.39 in early trading Thursday. Analysts had projected just a 4.3 percent growth in same-store sales for Guess.
