Jeffrey A. Kahn MD is the medical director of the liver transplant program at Keck Medicine of USC. The program he leads serves a very diverse population, including those who are socioeconomically disadvantaged. Dr. Kahn’s mentors taught him to provide high-quality patient care with empathy and compassion and he strives to do so every day, and to be a role model for the medical students, medical residents, gastroenterology fellows, and liver transplant fellows he teaches. He is also a founding member of the LGBTQ taskforce for the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases.
