Pasadena-based engineering, consulting and infrastructure firm Tetra Tech Inc. nabbed a trio of contracts last month. The company was one of the awardees of an architectural/engineering services contract from the Los Angeles district of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The total value of the contract is capped at $46 million for three years.
It does not appear any of the work for this contract is tied to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ debris removal and other work in the Altadena and Palisades fire zones.
Expanding a water facility near Orlando
The other two contracts are both related to water treatment in Florida.
The first of these was awarded by Orange County Utilities in Orlando, Florida, for engineering and design work to expand a water reclamation facility near Orlando. The dollar value of the contract was not disclosed.
The $150 million-plus water treatment plant expansion would increase the existing facility’s capacity by 9 million gallons per day. Tetra Tech’s engineers and other specialists will prepare designs and specifications for the increased capacity while also enhancing operations, energy efficiency and resilience.
The third contract was announced on April 24. The city of Cape Coral, Florida selected Tetra Tech to provide engineering design and technical services to expand the city’s reverse osmosis water treatment plant. The $60 million expansion project is expected to boost the plant’s production capacity by 50%.
