For nearly four decades, Kelli Sager has rep-resented media and entertainment companies, including broadcasters, film producers and distributors, newspapers and magazines, and Web publishers, as well as individual journalists and authors. She joined Davis Wright Tremaine as a partner in 1994 to develop the firm’s media and entertainment practice in California, which has grown to include more than 30 lawyers statewide (and more than 60 nationally), who handle litigation, production work and transactional matters in the media and entertainment industry. Sager has argued dozens of times in federal and state appellate courts, including many times in the California Supreme Court and 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, achieving results for her clients that include precedent-setting rulings protecting their rights to gather and disseminate content to the public.
