As partner-in-charge of Hinshaw’s Los Angeles office, Spencer Kook leads an office of more than 30 attorneys, managing the day-to-day operations, strategic planning, and governance of the firm’s presence in Los Angeles and California at large, driving services and strategic growth. Under Kook’s leadership and recruitment strategies, the office has achieved significant growth, particularly in the insurance and consumer financial service practice areas.
Kook balances his leadership responsibilities with an active law practice. He advises insurance carriers, producers and other regulated entities on matters related to the California Department of Insurance, including compliance, rate matters, examinations, licensing, and enforcement actions. He has a strong track record of successfully representing companies in insurance litigation.
