Nathanson is an American entrepreneur and former United States Ambassador to Norway, a position he served from 2022 to 2024. He is perhaps best known for founding Falcon Cable TV, a cable systems operator which he sold in 1999 for $3.7 billion to Charter Communications. After the transfer, Nathanson went on to found Beverly Hills-based Mapleton Investments. Mapleton Properties, its development arm, has a portfolio valued at roughly $630 million. The company manages over 3.2 million square feet total.
Politics: Nathanson left Norway earlier this year to join Future Forward, the largest Democratic-leaning super PAC, currently supporting Kamala Harris. The committee launched a $50 million pre-convention advertising campaign in July.
Sports Stake: The Nathanson family is an investor in the NHL’s Seattle Kraken, MLS Seattle Sounders FC, AHL’s Coachella Valley Firebirds and NWSL Angel City FC in Los Angeles.
