Spiegel cofounded Snap Inc. in 2011. The company was known for disappearing photos and some of the first vertical video experiments online, but more than that, it was proof that wildly successful tech companies could plant its roots and grow in Los Angeles. Real Estate: Ever since Spiegel and his wife, former model Miranda Kerr, settled into their $145 million estate in Holmby Hills, Spiegel’s more humble (by comparison) homes in Brentwood were listed on the market. Spiegel’s first home, which he bought in 2014 for $3.3 million, is currently listed at $4.95 million. His 2016 home, which he bought for $12 million, listed at $19.95 million. More recently, the price slashed to $17.75 million.

Donations: Spiegel donated $6,600 to Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar in January. In 2022, Spiegel and Kerr paid off the student debt of the graduating class of Otis College with a $10 million donation.
