The brains behind Saban Entertainment and its massively successful “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers” franchise, Saban has spent the years since selling the company’s catalogue to Disney in 2001 largely on passion projects close to his heart. Born in Alexandria, Egypt, Saban immigrated to Israel at the age of 12 and later relocated to France. Eight years later, he moved to L.A. and became one of the top suppliers of music for television. By the late 1980’s Saban was directly producing kid-oriented entertainment.

Donations and Fundraising: In recent years Saban’s chiefly been known for his role as a donor and fundraiser for Democratic Party campaigns. Saban, who migrated to Israel in 1956 from Egypt, is a strong advocate for stronger U.S. support for Israel and a consistent contributor to campaigns in the U.S. and abroad in support of that cause.

Music: A member of Universal Music Group’s board of directors, Saban founded his own label, Saban Music Group, in 2019.
