Gaurav Malhotra, a partner at Lucas Horsfall, began his career in accounting after receiving a degree in Economics at UCLA. He has worked in accounting and business services for over 25 years, with extensive experience in mergers & acquisitions (M&A), audit and assurance, tax and international operations. Today, his primary focus is M&A.
Over the years, Malhotra has learned that technical knowledge is only the bare minimum of what a great accounting partner should bring to the table. He sees his role as being much more proactive and personal than operational. This is especially true in the tumultuous world of M&A, where proactively addressing the unknown and providing personal guidance are of the utmost importance. He considers the two most important parts of his job to be helping clients and friends successfully navigate the incredibly arduous M&A process and mentoring junior members of the Lucas Horsfall team.
