Esteban Rodriguez is an experienced litigator whose diverse practice focuses on defending consumer products and life sciences companies in government investigations and complex, multi-jurisdictional matters alleging product liability, false advertising, unfair competition and other consumer fraud claims. Promoted to partner earlier this year at the age of 38, Rodriguez has become a trusted advisor to major pharmaceutical clients, including Johnson & Johnson in the opioids litigation. He also provides life sciences law compliance advice to multiple pharmaceutical and medical device companies.
For the better part of a decade, Rodriguez has been a key member of the O’Melveny team representing J&J in state and federal multi-district litigation relating to prescription opioid medications. He was a member of the team that scored the first trial win for any drug companies in the opioid litigation when a California state court judge found J&J and others not liable in a $50 billion suit.
