Marina Torres is a partner in Willkie’s Litigation Department, where she is a member of the White-Collar Defense and Investigations & Enforcement Practices. Torres focuses on government and corporate internal investigations, white collar criminal defense, congressional inquiries and complex civil litigation.
A former federal prosecutor who served as lead or co-lead in over 30 trials in federal and state courts, Torres is an experienced litigator whose trial practice includes civil litigation, criminal investigations and enforcement. She was the opioids coordinator for the US Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California, and previously taught a week-long criminal trial skills course on behalf of the US DOJ and US Dept. of State in Mexico City for Mexican judges, prosecutors and attorneys. She has also briefed and argued numerous appeals before the US Courts of Appeals, and was a political appointee with the Department of Homeland Security under President Obama.
