Lieser’s ability to articulate complex legal principles and successfully argue on behalf of her clients has garnered her national attention. After a fellow US District Court judge ruled against dismissal of property fraud counts in the infamous college admissions case, Lieser managed to achieve a different result on behalf of her client in front of another District Court judge, who granted the defense’s motion to dismiss those counts and significantly curtailed the government’s ability to proceed on others.
