Barry Arbuckle, Ph.D. is president and CEO of MemorialCare, a leading Southern California nonprofit integrated health care system with over 230 sites of care. Under his leadership, MemorialCare has experienced unprecedented growth, financial performance and is leading health care through innovative partnerships to deliver best practice medicine and improve community health. Today, MemorialCare has more than 12,000 employees, affiliated physicians and volunteers, serving several award-winning hospitals and facilities.
Under Arbuckle’s stewardship, MemorialCare has become a leader in value-based contracting; integration of ambulatory care, behavioral health, and oral health; and the advancement of healthcare reform. He is also a strong advocate for employers seeking high value health benefit options. In addition, he serves as chair of the MemorialCare Innovation Fund, a healthcare innovation investment company.
