Casey has guided Whittier Trust’s transition from a relatively small
family office to a multiclient family office and private trust company
that counsels some of L.A.’s wealthiest families. The South Pasadena
company was founded in 1935 as the family office for the Whittier
family, whose wealth came from real estate and petroleum. Casey is
a member of the California Club, the Annandale Golf Club, the Twenty-
One Fund and the Checkered Flag 200 of the Petersen Auto Museum,
and he is on the board of governors for Providence Saint Joseph
Foundation along with several other affiliations. He was recently elected
to the board of Musique, a local charity that utilizes music to help
the disadvantaged.
